When the Big Nine football schedule came out, the Kennewick Lions saw that they'd have a brutal start to the year.

Kennewick played their first two games in Seattle and Wenatchee...and, unfortunately, the Lions went 0-2.

But, the flip side is 4 of their final 5 games are at Lampson Stadium.

On Thursday, the Lions played their first home game of the year as they took on Sunnyside.

Trent Brown threw 4 touchdown passes to Drew Loftus in the first half...and that would be more than enough.

Kennewick picks up their first win of the year as they beat Sunnyside 43-24.
